Polyurethane cold room panels are currently the most widely used category in the industry. They have outstanding insulation and heat insulation capabilities, a high proportion of closed cell structures, and are difficult for moisture to penetrate. They have good bonding strength with the surface layer and can produce various thicknesses of panels to meet the construction needs of cold storage with different temperature requirements. They are lightweight and easy to install and construct on site;

The advantages of extruded polystyrenecold room panels are strong compression resistance and low water absorption, but their insulation performance is slightly weaker than polyurethane cold storage panels, making them more suitable for the construction of small cold storage or warehouse style cold storage with high compression requirements;


The temperature requirement is the core factor affecting the selection of panel thickness. Generally, the lower the required temperature inside the warehouse, the thicker the cold storage panel needed. For high-temperature cold storage with a temperature range of 0 ℃~10 ℃, a panel thickness of 100mm can be selected; The temperature range for medium temperature cold storage is -18 ℃~0 ℃, and it is suitable to use panels with a thickness of 150mm; The temperature range for low-temperature cold storage is -25 ℃~-18 ℃, and panels with a thickness of 150-200mm need to be selected; The temperature of the quick freezing warehouse is usually below -30 ℃, and the panel thickness needs to reach 200mm or more to meet the requirements of thermal insulation.

Cold storage is exposed to a large temperature difference between the inside and outside for a long time, which can easily lead to condensation and water leakage problems. How to install cold room panels


Before formal installation, on-site preparation work should be completed: first, the installation base should be cleaned and leveled to ensure that the walls and floors are flat and solid, without bulges, potholes, and excess debris. Then, according to the overall design dimensions of the cold storage and the specifications of the customized panels, the layout and laying out should be completed. The accurate installation position of each cold storage panel should be marked on the base surface to prevent dimensional errors during splicing and installation from affecting the overall sealing.


The actual splicing installation generally follows the order of "wall panels first, then top panels". The wall panels are spliced and installed piece by piece from the corner position to both sides. After aligning and clamping the special tongue and groove of adjacent panels, special sealant should be filled in the splicing joint to completely seal the gap and avoid leaving gaps that may cause cooling leakage. During the installation process, the flatness and verticality of the panels should be checked with a ruler and plumb line at any time, and any deviation should be adjusted and corrected immediately.


After all the wall panels are installed in place, the assembly of the top panel should be carried out. The top panel should be firmly fixed to the top load-bearing structure and the top of the wall panels, and the connection position should also be sealed. After all the installations are completed, it is necessary to check the sealing of all the joint seams, internal and external corners, and reserved pipe openings, fill the gaps, and do waterproof and vapor proof treatment to prevent cold leakage and moisture from entering the core material, ensuring the overall insulation effect of the cold storage.
